ALPHA DELTA PI HOUSE

BACKGROUND
For my UA senior project, I transformed Barnwell Hall into a classical modern sorority house for Alpha Delta Pi—drawing inspiration from their colors, symbols, and history. Come explore the reimagined space and the rich legacy woven into every detail

CONCEPT

The Alpha Delta Pi Sorority House at the University of Alabama embodies the university’s commitment to excellence, leadership, and community. Its timeless classical modern design fosters connection, scholarship, and personal growth, aligning with both Alpha Delta Pi’s values and Alabama’s traditions. Inspired by the lion and the diamond, the space reflects strength, grace, and brilliance. The lion’s symbolism of courage is expressed through bold, sculptural elements and regal accents, while the diamond’s clarity and brilliance shine through geometric patterns, reflective materials, and elegant lighting. A serene color palette of azure blue and white, accented with soft neutrals and polished gold, enhances the sense of harmony and sophistication. Natural materials like marble, wood, and quartz pair with durable finishes to create a space that is both functional and enduring. Thoughtfully designed spaces encourage collaboration, study, and sisterhood, creating an inspiring home where members can shine, lead, and make a lasting impact.
