WELCOME TO

LAVENDER HILL

RENOVATION FOR THE NELSON FAMILY

The Client

Morgan and Aaron Nelson, a couple in their early 30s, are finally building the home they’ve always envisioned. Married for two years, they share a passion for travel and want their space to reflect the history and inspiration found in their adventures. Their vision combines the intricate artistry of Azulejos tiles with a European-Mediterranean aesthetic, resulting in a home that is timeless, warm, and inviting. With Morgan’s lively, creative, adventurous spirit and Aaron’s thoughtful, intelligent nature, they aim to balance captivating design with functionality- creating a comfortable, stylish home that echoes the place they’ve explored and the memories they’ve made.

The Concept

This home transforms spaces into a living canvas, inspired by the beauty and history of Azulejos tiles. It blends Portuguese and Spanish craftsmanship with a modern twist, using ornate geometric patterns and floral motifs to create visual movement throughout. A palette of vibrant hues of whites, cobalt blues, earthy ochres, and gold metals evokes the warmth and charm of Southern Europe. Materials like tile, stone, concrete, wood, and glass merge with modern finishes, balancing historical richness with contemporary design, resulting in a space that feels both captivating and functional.
